Four Years of Greek Austerity in Forty Pictures

This coming May will mark four years since the European Commission, the European Central Bank, and the International Monetary Fund took control of the Greek economy. Although massively important, it’s an anniversary not many people are going to celebrate.
As more of a memento than a celebration, photographer Dimitris Michalakis has put together a selection of 40 photographs that he’s taken over the past four years. The series depicts the social impact of austerity in Greece, and serves as a snapshot into almost half a decade dominated by headlines about social polarity, debt, and economic crisis.

A herpaderp

What irks me, I mean what really gets under my damn skin are “religious people”. One family member asked another for help. She totally has the ability to do so, and not only did she “poo poo” his request. She downright insulted him too boot. She goes on social media looking for praise putting it out there that she’s giving up booze for lent and how great she is for her “sacrifice”. And how devout she is for going to church weekly etc. BITCH FUCK YOU. How Christian of you to shit on a family member in need. I fully called “bullshit” on facebook and I’ll tell the bitch straight. She’ll have some gall to come over for Easter and eat the food HE’s going to slave all day over. Nonsensical and ridiculous. Always biting my damn tongue, I’m shocked I still have one.

Mhmm!
